Currently, I am working as a senior lecturer in the Interior Design Department at Raffles College of Higher Education. Before, I worked as an adjunct lecturer at NYIT, Abu Dhabi, and teaching assistant and instructor at Istanbul Technical University (I.T.U) for eleven years. Throughout these experiences, I have been responsible for the courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. I hold an undergraduate degree in Architecture from ITU . Additionally, I was awarded my Ph.D. by the Department of History of Art at ITU. I completed my Masters' degree in Industrial Design at ITU in 2007. My current research interests lie in a wide range of interior design topics; such as furniture design, adaptive reuse, cinematic space, interior design history, spatial narrative, domestic interiors, cultural aspects, handcrafting, and semiotics. Having an architecture degree allowed me to deal with environmental factors and to understand building structure, technics, and logic. My industrial design master's degree helped me to understand the smaller scale and develop a human-centered design approach.

Specializing in urban design, residential architecture, and sports design, I am dedicated to shaping environments that enrich communities and enhance experiences. In urban-level projects, I am committed to crafting spaces that contribute positively to the vitality and functionality of cities. My expertise encompasses a comprehensive understanding of urban dynamics, including transportation, infrastructure, and sustainability. By prioritizing the quality of life for urban dwellers, I aim to foster community engagement and connectivity through thoughtful design. In residential architecture, I am passionate about creating homes that embody the unique lifestyles and aspirations of their occupants. From single-family residences to multi-unit developments, my designs emphasize comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. By nurturing a sense of belonging and well-being, I strive to provide environments that support daily activities and foster meaningful social connections. In the realm of sports design, I thrive on the challenges and opportunities presented by crafting immersive environments for athletes, spectators, and the wider community. Specializing in sports facilities such as stadiums, arenas, and training centers, I integrate innovative design solutions with a profound understanding of sports culture and technology. The result is a seamless blend of form and function, creating memorable experiences for all stakeholders.

My architectural focus centers on creating immersive and thematic environments, with a particular emphasis on sustainable practices. With a strong foundation in both modern and traditional design principles, I aim to merge aesthetics with functionality in every project. Notable works include my award-winning thesis project (UniATA24), 'The Tale of Marine Life,' an innovative sea aquarium complex that encapsulates my commitment to experiential design and ecological responsibility. Looking forward, I am dedicated to exploring how architectural spaces can foster community interaction and environmental stewardship

When establishing a design, every architect will consider what exactly they want to communicate by it.

Personally I search the Purpose of a design.

It is to decide on a strong focal point that will drive all the architectural system, draw everybody’s attention and create that perfect balance and rythm. This purpose or concept reflects in the design creating this way new buildings and the spaces in and around them. A living organism!
