Francesca Sorcinelli
Francesca Sorcinelli holds a MArch at IUAV University of Venice. She is Co-Founder and Partner of DOnner SOrcinelli Architecture (DOSO) an award-winning Architecture Atelier based in Venice and Dubai. Her works with DOSO have been extensively published in architecture books and international magazines. Some of these works have been exhibited in international venues e.g. Architecture Biennale of Venice, Architecture Center Houston, The Architecture Foundation London as well as Van Alen Institute of New York, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Architecture Moscow, Daegu Architectural Culture Biennale and 24th UIA Tokyo Congress. She has been teaching Architecture and Interior Design in Universities in Italy and United Arab Emirates since 2008. Francesca is currently Assistant Professor at Zayed University where she teaches studios and theory courses. In her published research papers Francesca examines the dichotomy between housing and living habits coming from different cultural settings in existing urban contexts. She has been also investigating urban environments and landscapes in the United Arab Emirates by means of photography.

Peyman Kiani Falavarjani
Peyman Kiani Falavarjani was born on 10th June 1984, in Esfahan, Iran. He grew up in a family with an industrial background; therefore, he had to work in his father's workshop from childhood until the end of high school. But although he had good talent in the industry, he had loved buildings since he was a child. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Glastonbury University. Later in 2012, he completed his master's degree in architecture. He is passionate about designing buildings where people are happy, like a hotel, bars, and restaurants. He believes a good design in a place should make people want to be there many times or travel to that place. He considers the emotional connection between the space and its user a critical factor, followed by aesthetics, ergonomics, usability, and functionality, defining a good design. This is the perspective that forms his manifest as an architect. In the circle of my scientific and creative interests, I focus primarily on the contemporary shaping of large-scale projects, regeneration of post-industrial areas, shaping creative urban strategies and solutions in the coastal zone related to climate change. I work as an academic teacher at the University of Lodz, where I teach urban design, and I am a designer at A2P2 architecture & planning. I am the author or co-author of articles in architectural magazines in Poland.

He successfully got his master’s degree at Monumental heritage with DAAD scholarship from Anhalt university of Applied Sciences, Bauhuas of Dessau, Germany. He specializes design, art appreciation, cultural studies, art philosophy, architectural history, urban collective memory, material and climatic issues regarding vernacular architecture and so on. He has already published articles from several journals around the globe which include countries like UK, USA, Austria, Australia, Nigeria, India, China and Indonesia. He is also in editorial board of ATINAR journal, Greece and CHITROLEKHA journal, India. His recent study published from the largest platform of Asian architects, ARCASIA’s 19th forum.
