The main idea of my project was design graduation and significant dominant, that will rise towards Vltava. Becouse it is the building observed from the hill Letná, important element was to create an interesting roof that captivates.
The Concert Hall in Prague is located in Dvořák´s embankment, between St. Francis hospital and St. Ann´s Monastery. On the first floor there is no cloakroom directly opposite the entrance, which is located under the hall. There are also two bars, sanitary facilities, reception and entrance to hall. On the second floor there is another bar and second entrance to the main hall. There is a restaurant on the third floor. Underground floors are used as facilities for employees, technical facilities and parking.
The Concert Hall surface is created by waves, which are made from rear construction coated by GFRC panels (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) and
light circuit shield. Becouse it´s the building observed primarily from hill Letná,
I choose a glassed dome roof loaded from pyramid elements, a small reastaurant has been under that. The building is a steel skelet, composed of rear constructions and circular columns.
