Beauty, utility, durability – these are the immanent features of good architecture. Vitruvius's theories
Is it possible to identify a universal sense of beauty - a definition of beauty that can be applied to all people at all times? Don't our ideas of beauty shift and fight and transform themselves in different times and spaces?
Vitruvius thought that a timeless notion of beauty could be learnt from the 'truth of nature', that nature's designs were based on universal laws of proportion and symmetry. He believed that the body's proportions could be used as a model of natural proportional perfection.
Our team got inspired from Vitruvius’s theories and we designed the embassy of Czech Republic. Which is contained in rhythm, calmness, dignity and consistency of the whole composition
The main idea of the project was to design shapes that would be connected with each other and the surrounding environment. The major characteristic of architecture is the patio in the main building of the embassy and the residence. The patio concede for the opening of a larger open space. The expanded glazing adds lightness for the designed building. Also, the designed facade blades perform the sunscreen function and aesthetic function.
The green plot, with large pools, create a sense of coziness and openness.
The terrace in the main embassy building designed above the auditorium, with inclination of 15 °, from which there is the possibility to descending to the common garden. From the terrace of the building, visitors and workers of the embassy could appreciate the view of the embassy buildings complex, landscape and pools.
A complex of embassy buildings entirely adapted for people with disabilities. All entrances to the building are accessible to people with disabilities, which are located on a par with the ground level. Entrances and all doors are without thresholds and have a minimum with 90 cm
