Whole idea is circeled by six meters high walls which resemles fortification, but the main purpose of walls is that it displays the tradiotional motives of both countries, Ethiopian on the inner fascade, and Czech on the outter side.
The Embassy of Checz Republic in Addis Ababa is made of 5 main buildings. An actual security wall is placed all accros the border of site. The main enterance gets you to the square, which is sunken four and a half meters from the zero height, and there is main enterance to the Official Embassy building.
Square is lowered because with that we get cooler climate and more transparent field. Privacy enterance leads to garage, to the Residency of Ambassador and Residency of embassy staff. Those residencies are connected with another square on zero point, that square leads to Official Embassy building and to the lowered square. Another enterance on northern part of the site leads to Visa and Consular office. On the westernmost part of the site is the building for Local Workforce. On that part of the site is the pool for recreation intended for Embassy staff. The main exterior materials are grey granite and earth red brick which resembles czech and ethiopian architecture, the stone and the clay, materials that made those countries what they are today.
We used steel construction ih whole objects, and concrete construction for outter walls.
