The project idea centers around the adaptive reuse of an existing swimming pool and gym complex, transforming it into a mixed-use space featuring coworking, makerspace, and coliving, while incorporating a unique "mushroom" inspired design concept.
The project scope involves a comprehensive conversion and expansion of the existing building complex to create a dynamic environment that integrates residential, work, and creative spaces.
On the fourth image, there is a schematic exploded view illustrating the construction of a mushroom element. A steel truss structure is being integrated into the existing reinforced concrete floor. This structure is secured with steel shims to ensure optimal distribution of weight onto the existing floor. The construction is further fixed using anchor bolts that are anchored into the floor. A partially illuminated textile is attached to an equilateral L-steel profile. This L-steel profile is connected to an aluminum profile strip using a steel connector.
