Project idea

Návrh revitalizace areálu ČT na Kavčích horách je spojením architektury minulého století s architekturou současnou. Návrh respektuje historickou hodnotu stávajících staveb v areálu, nezasahuje svou formou ani rozsahem do současného stavu. Idea celé revitalizace je použití příjemných pro lidské oko nerušivých materiálů, které dobře působí společně s materiály použité na stávající zástavbě. Nová forma má však zajistit jistou nadčasovost a udržitelnost přístaveb. Ideou je jednoduchá a jemná architektonická tvorba, která zajišťuje správný „flow“ areálem ČT, a která má působit jakousi transparentností. Návrh má podobu jednoduchých tvarů, které jsou pouze určitým dodatkem ke stávajícímu stavu areálu. Přístavby respektují své okolí a napojují se na stávající vazby. Cílem je snadná orientace jak pracujících osob v ČT, tak jejích návštěvníků a vytvoření příjemného prostředí pro všechny uživatele přístaveb.


The proposal for the revitalization of the ČT complex on Kavčí hory combines architecture from the last century with contemporary architecture. The design respects the historical value of the existing buildings in the complex and does not interfere with their form or scale. The idea behind the entire revitalization is the use of visually pleasing, unobtrusive materials that work well together with the materials used in the existing buildings. However, the new form aims to ensure timelessness and sustainability of the extensions. The concept is simple and subtle architectural design, which ensures the proper "flow" through the ČT complex and is intended to convey a sense of transparency. The design takes the form of simple shapes that are only an addition to the current state of the complex. The extensions respect their surroundings and connect to the existing structures. The goal is to provide easy orientation for both employees of ČT and its visitors, as well as to create a pleasant environment for all users of the extensions.

Project description

Řešení recepce je provedeno s co nejmožnějším zachováním původních nosných i nenosných konstrukcí. Je zachován rastr stávajících sloupů, k němu jsou přidány další dva sloupy z důvodu podepření střešního pláště. Je zvolen lehký obvodový plášť, nosné prvky jsou tedy jen sloupy a střešní konstrukce. Tvarosloví nové přístavby je navrženo tak, aby co nejvíce souznělo se stávající budovou Zpravodajství. Rastr prvků podpírajících obvodový plášť tvoří v podstatě násobek stávajícího rastru oken. Transparentnost zvoleného materiálu umožňuje propojení s exteriérem a práci se světlem. Interiér recepce je dělen pouze tepelným filtrem u vstupu a stěnou z LED panelů pro ukázku tvorby ČT kanálů. Tepelný filtr je dostatečně široký i pro hendikepované osoby, stejně jako všechny jednotlivé vstupy. Uprostřed místnosti je umístěn autorský recepční pult z důvodu naprosto přehledné orientace ihned po vstupu do interiéru. Za prostorem recepce je příčně umístěna stěna z LED panelů. Po stranách jsou navrženy sedací soupravy dvou druhů, pro jednotlivce, popřípadě dvojice, a pro skupiny hostů. Dále je navržen ocelový podhled z nosníků tmavé barvy, ve kterém jsou umístěny světelné prvky. Celý interiér je navržen v čistém a jemném duchu, pracuje se světlem a je doplněn zelení pro příjemnější pobyt osob.

Řešení fasády je navrženo tak, aby fasáda působila co možná nejpřirozeněji se stávající zástavbou areálu ČT, zároveň ale také, aby dodala modernost a nadčasovost. Cílem návrhu je decentní dynamičnost a nadčasovou fasády. Členitý rastr různých šířek je odvozen od okolních budov i od zeleně v prostoru zadního pohledu fasády. Fasáda je cíleně navržena tak, aby komunikovala co nejvíce s okolním prostředím, zároveň však, aby nebyla příliš nápadná a respektovala funkci budovy filmových studií. Jediné prostupy do fasády jsou ze západní strany a jsou vyneseny na stejnou výšku pro celiství dojem, jedná se o předem zadané okenní otvory a vrata. Panely jsou umístěny tak, aby vzhledem ke světovým stranám tvořily pomyslné vlnění. Vlnění začíná ve dvou rozích stavby a postupně se ztrácí do zbylých dvou rohů. Díky tomuto uspořádání je docíleno dynamiky a „pohybu“ fasády.


The design of the reception is carried out with the utmost effort to preserve the original load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures. The grid of the existing columns is maintained, with the addition of two new columns to support the roof structure. A lightweight outer shell is chosen, so the load-bearing elements are limited to the columns and the roof construction. The form of the new extension is designed to harmonize as much as possible with the existing News building. The grid of the elements supporting the outer shell essentially multiplies the existing window grid. The transparency of the chosen material allows for a connection with the exterior and plays with light. The interior of the reception is divided only by a thermal filter at the entrance and a wall of LED panels showcasing the creation of ČT channels. The thermal filter is wide enough to accommodate disabled individuals, as are all individual entrances. In the center of the room, the reception desk is placed for clear orientation immediately upon entering the interior. Behind the reception area, there is a crosswise wall made of LED panels. On the sides, seating arrangements are designed in two types: for individuals or pairs, and for groups of guests. Additionally, a steel ceiling grid of dark-colored beams is designed, within which light elements are integrated. The entire interior is designed in a clean and subtle spirit, with an emphasis on light and complemented by greenery for a more pleasant experience for users.

The facade design is intended to make the facade blend as naturally as possible with the existing buildings in the ČT complex, while also adding modernity and timelessness. The goal of the design is to achieve subtle dynamism and timelessness for the facade. The fragmented grid of various widths is derived from the surrounding buildings and the greenery in the space at the rear view of the facade. The facade is deliberately designed to communicate as much as possible with the surrounding environment, while not being overly conspicuous and respecting the function of the film studio building. The only penetrations in the facade are on the western side, aligned at the same height for a unified impression; these are pre-defined window openings and gates. The panels are arranged in such a way that, in relation to the cardinal directions, they create an imaginary wave-like effect. The wave begins at two corners of the building and gradually fades into the remaining two corners. This arrangement achieves a dynamic effect and a sense of "movement" in the facade.

Technical information

Nosný konstrukční systém přístavby recepce tvoří nosné sloupy, které jsou nyní vyvedeny před budovu Zpravodajství spolu s dvojící nově navržených betonových sloupů stejných rozměrů. Dále nosnou konstrukci tvoří střešní plášť spolu s betonovou stropní deskou. Je navržena pultová střecha, odvodnění je řešeno svodem uvnitř nově navržených sloupů.

Materiál obvodového pláště recepce je transparentní polykarbonát, který zajišťuje propojení interiéru s exteriérem. Pro podlahovou krytinu byla zvolena kamenná dlažba světlé barvy. Dále je kámen použit jako obklad u zadní stěny recepce. Je navržen podhled z ocelových nosníků tmavé barvy, který díky svému rastru umožňuje částečně „schování“ světelných zdrojů. Recepční pult je navržen také z kamene, je použita kombinace světlé a tmavé barvy na dvou deskách zasazených do sebe. Tepelný filtr je tvořen sklem. Osvětlení je zvoleno především bodové, nad recepčním pultem je závěsné světlo, dále také nasvícení pultu směrem od podlahy nahoru. Topení je zvoleno podlahové. Jelikož objekt nemá žádné okenní otvory, je navrženo nucené větrání (prvky skryty v podhledu).

Konstrukce fasády je řešena jako závěsná lehká konstrukce. Jsou navrženy betonové sloupky, které jsou umístěny k obvodovému zdivu přístavby filmových studií. Do těchto sloupů jsou kotveny pomocí šroubů jednotlivé panely z perforované oceli. Sloupky jsou od sebe rozmístěny vždy na šířku panelu a mezi sebou mají 50 mm volného prostoru. Panely jsou navrženy přibližně deseti různě velkých šířek a na celou výšku přístavby. Panely jsou vyvedeny asi 200 mm nad okraj střechy přístavby. Perforovaná ocel má svou stříbrnou barvu, jsou do ní vyráženy kolečka průměru 25 mm. Umístění panelů za sebe na fasádu je závazné dle návrhu, není tedy nahodilé.


The structural system of the reception extension consists of load-bearing columns, which are now placed in front of the News building, along with a pair of newly designed concrete columns of the same dimensions. Additionally, the supporting structure includes the roof covering along with the concrete ceiling slab. A mono-pitch roof is proposed, with drainage handled by downpipes inside the newly designed columns.

The material of the reception's outer shell is transparent polycarbonate, ensuring a connection between the interior and the exterior. The flooring is designed with light-colored stone tiles. Stone is also used as cladding on the back wall of the reception. The ceiling is proposed to be made of dark-colored steel beams, which, due to their grid design, allow partial "concealment" of light sources. The reception desk is also designed from stone, combining light and dark colors on two slabs set into each other. The thermal filter is made of glass. The lighting is mainly spotlights, with a pendant light above the reception desk, as well as lighting directed upwards from the floor towards the desk. Underfloor heating is chosen. Since the building has no window openings, forced ventilation is proposed (with elements hidden in the ceiling).

The facade structure is designed as a suspended lightweight construction. Concrete columns are proposed, placed next to the exterior wall of the film studio extension. These columns anchor individual panels made of perforated steel using screws. The columns are spaced at intervals equal to the width of each panel, with 50 mm of free space between them. The panels are designed in approximately ten different widths and extend the full height of the extension. The panels extend about 200 mm above the edge of the roof of the extension. The perforated steel is silver in color, with circles of 25 mm in diameter punched into it. The arrangement of the panels on the facade follows the design precisely, without randomness.
