Project idea

Our main idea was to design a repetitive form that makes the most of nature's bounty so that we could grow plants inside the restaurant all year round, by using the right angles of some of the glazing and vertical growing methods we were able to save a significant amount of space.

Project description

EXTERNAL
- A repetitive form of greenhouse that lets in winter light and restricts summer light.
- Concave elements are attached to the greenhouse for rainwater collection.
- Maximizing biologically active area, through construction, below ground level.

INTERIOR
- the project is divided into rooms intended for the production of plants in vertical systems (hydroponics, aeroponics)
- Rooms where plant seedlings mature, prior to cultivation in the main systems
- in addition, inside there are also storage rooms, rooms for mushrooms, and cold rooms.
- Dining rooms with tables on which plants can also grow.

Technical information

Simple, repetitive and modular design, aims to simplify construction and reduce the amount of materials needed.
Placing the restaurant underground increases the amount of greenery and creates space for additional outdoor plantings.
