Project idea

The main idea and goal of our project is the revival of the territory of the Podzelenie Park in the Historical center of Yaroslavl, since this territory is in a deplorable state, although it has a very rich history and a good location. This area should become a new center of attraction for tourists and residents of the city. The topic of the final qualifying work — the Museum complex on Podzelenie — is extremely relevant at the present time for several reasons.
1. Accessibility: proximity to major transport hubs provides easy access for residents and visitors of the city of Yaroslavl
2. Aesthetic value: a favorable environment for recreation and recreation is created by the presence of an active relief with green spaces and the interaction of the territory with water in the form of a river that wraps around the peninsula
3. Recreational potential: the presence of a number of active transport routes makes the territory ideal for creating a recreational area
4. The appearance of the city: the site is located at the forefront of the city, welcoming visitors to the historical center and therefore it can play a key role in shaping the image of the city and its historical attractions

Project description

The project consists of two parts.
The first is the Museum Complex, a building saturated with cultural and entertainment functions in the form of a Museum, Cafe, Interactive spaces, Classrooms and so on.
The second is a Park area with an active landscape in which there are: Playgrounds, Sports grounds, a Zone of historical reconstruction, Access to the water in the form of a Pier and access to the water in the form of a beach, as well as recreation areas and toilets throughout the territory
The image of the Museum Complex was formed with the help of analytical work on this territory. When studying the history of this place, as well as the adjacent territory of the historical center of the city, information was found that according to the plan of the city of Yaroslavl 17b. along Kotoroslnaya Embankment, fortifications of the Earthen City were installed connecting the fortifications of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery and the Chopped City, currently referred to as Strelka. These fortifications were a fortress wall with towers. Thus, with the help of studying historical buildings of fortifications, studying the theme of Museum space, it was decided to take as a basis the construction of a fortress wall as an image for further work with the general spatial solutions of the building, and analogues of modern structures related to the theme of the Museum Complex helped to transform into a modern space.
The architectural appearance of the Museum Complex was formed in the spirit of contextualism using the rhythm, scale and images of the buildings of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery.
