The concept comes from the flow of speed and aerodynamism, I tried to highlight this in the expression of the form. A central
oval-esque entity spins and joins into itself to form the shade and
the seating whilst allowing ventilation and proper ergonomics,
the form represents speed and aerodynamism.
The primary functions of a bus stop are to provide
shade for seating and boarding for incoming passengers and to
provide a well suited driveway and station point for buses. I focused
on mass modelling, as this is the first semester of space design.I made many preliminary drafts to come up with the final model. I used subdivision modelling for the project and 3d printed the physical model with white PLA- filament
The structural shell is of a space frame skeleton lined with cladding panels. The seats are made with proper human ergonomics and the shading considers rainfall and sunlight on the way to board the bus and during seating.
