Project idea

„Ready for Change“ as a composition of three corresponding structures creates new usage and recreational areas for the Turbine Bleiloch sailing club at the Thuringian Bleilochtalsperre near Weimar.

Project description

The engagement and close collaboration with the given topography at the site enables the creation of cubes that blend harmoniously with their surroundings. Steep inclines and slopes are utilized to create barrier-free interior spaces as well as rooftop terraces serving as seating areas.

Engaging with the landscape‘s layout, floor plans, and construction aims to sharpen design focuses and aid in developing transformative architecture tailored to the location and the club‘s needs.

Technical information

The timber hybrid construction with individually usable rotating walls and movable shelving modules define the new construction within minimal space while ensuring maximum utilization quality, thus allowing for the creation of modular functional areas.
