Project idea

The main idea of the project, both in terms of urban planning and architecture, is the idea of two gates - Black and White. The Black Gate is meant to symbolize the entrance to The Black Area - The Past Area. The White Gate is the entrance to The White Area, or the future. I focused in my project on the building of museum - Schindler's Ark. The idea behind the adaptation of Schindler’s Ark is the story of Moses, who led the Jews across the Red Sea to free them. The project is based on linking this story to that of Oskar Schindler. He brought the Jews to the Brnenec factory, which became their path to freedom. Accordingly, it was proposed to create such a path in the project of the museum building. In this way it splits the building in two parts and opens up to visitors like the Red Sea

Project description

I created the main path which divide the build of museum on to parts. In this way visitors know which way they should go. An important part of the museum is the main exhibition hall. It was created in a former production hall. A pathway has been laid through its center, guiding visitors into the depths of history. On both sides of the path, fabric walls have been arranged, which mainly serve exhibition purposes. However, with their size they overwhelm visitors like the waves of the sea.

Technical information

The main construction aspects of this project is path based on steel construction. There are some changes like sculpting the entrence in the walls and making the new green roof.
