Project idea

A concept that emphasizes the history of textile production in Brnenec.
It means stitching the rural and industrial landscape together, filling in the gaps, to make various elements of the past intertwine with a modern concept of living.

A patchwork of generations and the power of community:
In a place where whole families were saved by Schindler, the care for human life and dignity continues in the form of environmentally friendly housing design, taking into account the needs of present and future generations.

Project description

Patchwork becomes a subtle way to signal the levels of privacy of the space and a visual code to make orientation easier for children, older people and everyone else.

-reference to the old fabric

-gradation of the privacy of spaces

-natural ecosystems and infrastructure

-intergenerational and interspecies community
at the architectural scale:

-materials (inspired by the diversity of materials in the Tugendhat villa)
