Project idea

The REPALM Cultural and Energy Center is a pioneering initiative that tackles the pressing issue of improper agricultural waste management, specifically targeting the environmentally detrimental practice of burning palm waste. By implementing an advanced biomass pyrolysis process, REPALM efficiently converts palm waste into renewable energy sources. This conversion not only mitigates pollution but also contributes to sustainable energy solutions. Beyond its technological approach, REPALM places a strong emphasis on community involvement and education.

Project description

The center hosts a variety of workshops where locals learn to repurpose palm waste into useful and marketable products, including furniture and construction materials. These creations are then showcased and sold in the center's dedicated exhibition and marketplace spaces, providing a platform for local artisans and promoting entrepreneurship. Additionally, REPALM offers comprehensive educational courses and prototyping labs, equipping community members with the skills and knowledge to
innovate and engage in sustainable practices. Through these initiatives, the center aims to empower the local population, create new economic opportunities, and foster a culture of
environmental stewardship.
