Project idea

Our competition is mainly based on the plot and historical context of the film and the culture of the Jews, from which the design elements are extracted and integrated into our design, this time we mainly designed the site and Building One, we used the narrative architectural design method to integrate the experience of Jews from Poland to the Czech Republic into this design, and took care of the needs of a variety of people at the site, set up a place for the accommodation of the study tour group in Building One, set up a theater, and a place for related art exhibitions, And based on the historical plot, the entrance and characteristic spiritual space are set up。

Project description

This scheme designed the renovation of the site and Building 1, from the design of the site based on narrative theory to integrate the process of Jewish escape from Poland to the Czech Republic for refuge into the site design, in the architectural transformation we transformed the large space turbine hall into a spiritual space, and the entrance was made into a twisted and broken train, symbolizing the end of suffering

Technical information

In terms of structure, the original structure of the project is retained as much as possible, the original spiritual space of the turbine hall has removed the two-story floor slab and replaced it with a steel structure, and the second-floor floor slab has been removed from the south entrance and replaced with a full-height space, which is reinforced with a steel structure
