Project idea

Santika Group's vision is to reflect Indonesia's unique hospitality in a 'Sense of Place' concept. Guests experience this through locally inspired Javanese and Surabayan culture in every space, blending traditional Javanese 'Rumah Tradisional' elements with modern touches. This fusion fosters emotional connections and a sense of belonging, complemented by appropriate ambient surroundings. Every step in Santika hotel reflects Surabaya's cultural richness, particularly East Javanese traditions, reimagined in a modern context for a captivating experience.

Project description

The concept adapts traditional East Javanese house elements, engaging human senses to foster a strong connection with the environment. This Hotel project consists of the following parts. Main area are the public spaces such as Lobby, Receptionist, Lounge, Meeting Room, and also the private spaces such as guest bedroom.

Technical information

Modern luxury ambiance blends with classic Javanese culture, featuring warm and comfortable spaces with natural color palettes and traditional materials like wood, rattan, weaving, and bamboo. Brown tones dominate, reflecting traditional hues. Javanese design principles are applied throughout, with symmetrical layouts and open spaces, eliminating partitions.
