Project idea

The main goal was to create a complex where you can spend your time even in cold conditions. The warm atrium solves this problem by creating a warm space with plants and trees where you can spend your free time. The atrium is also the key feature of the entire complex.

Project description

The project is a low-rise residential structure of latitudinal orientation, which is part of the complex in Murmansk. Functionally divided into residential, public and technical areas. The main element is a warm atrium, inside which perennial plants are located in special containers. The floor ranges from two to six floors. The project provides for business-class housing. So there are terraces that go inside the warm atrium. Bay windows come out on the outside to increase the insolation time.

Technical information

From a technical point of view, the complex can be distinguished by buildings and an atrium. The buildings are made of monolithic concrete frame, and the voids are filled with brick. The exterior decoration is made of plaster. The buildings have convenient communications that allow you to move barrier-free. Also an important part of the buildings are bay windows, which will allow light to pass through freely.

Moreover, the residential blocks have special terraces that open inside the warm atrium. They are attached to the trusses of the atrium. In addition to residential units, there is also a sport unit and a commercial unit. The atrium is structurally made of reinforced concrete farms of unusual shape. They make the environment more diverse and interesting, and hanging plants can be fixed on them.
