Project idea

The main idea of the project: the pavilion, like a sponge, absorbs knowledge and interests. In it, people exchange stories, experiences, communicate with each other, invent and develop new projects.

Project description

Pavilion "Sponge". The name reflects the form and idea. The pavilion building has a porous structure created with the help of semicircular openings in the walls, panoramic windows and skylights in the roof.
The pavilion's initial exhibition has a nautical theme. On the ground floor there is an area for aquariums, where visitors can look at various underwater inhabitants and read information about them. There is also a scientific zone where conferences and meetings are held to discuss environmental problems and ways to solve them.
One of the features of the pavilion is dynamism. Functions change in zones depending on the priorities of visitors. There are no walls between the zones, which also allows you to change their size to create the most favorable conditions for collaboration. Ecologists, animal lovers, athletes and scientists can meet here.

Technical information

The pavilion consists of three “blocks” - floors; in plan it consists of three rectangles of different sizes offset relative to each other, the bottom of which, the base, is the most massive. The elements are lightweight and portable.
Each floor of the pavilion is a solid and independent structure that can be moved. Blocks can either function on their own or form a single composition with other blocks.
