Design theme: A memorial museum based on the film narrative
Concept generation: Take "architectural narrative" as the concept, "film translation" as the method, and "historical context" as the basis
The solution strategy of the project is: 1. Determine the relationship between the characters, sort out the plot, and divide it into main and secondary lines. 2. Determine the theme of different space emotions, and combine them with architectural functions, connect different emotions in parallel or in series, and distribute specific space, circulation lines, and architectural elements according to the size required by the activity venue. 3. Deal with the character experience by switching different character events (Nazis/Jews).4. Local space imitation/restoration of the plot of the movie

Project description

Using narrative techniques to connect four independent and related sub-units, (each sub-unit represents a historical stage and consists of several key events), combined with the emotional changes of the protagonist, with a time axis, analogous to four spatial archetypes.
Reverse design of the exhibition streamline
Building 2 connects to Building 1:
After learning about the history of Europe from 1848 to the present, as well as some factual events and news, visitors have a clear understanding of the general history of Building 2, and then slowly enter Building 1 through the sky walkway

The reason for the reverse flow of the exhibition is that the audience enters through the suspended aisle first, and the entrance of the museum is suspended in the air, which on the one hand increases the sense of ritual at the entrance, and on the other hand, it also creates the situation of the victims in the history of the uncertain situation.
Finally, the exhibition slowly returns from the air to the ground, and visitors see Square No. 4, which ends with the memorial square, sublimating the theme and signifying the end of this "film journey", giving people a real feeling

In the design of the building structure, the original site and environment are respected, and the original structure is kept unchanged as much as possible, and some walls are interrupted and redesigned
