Project idea

The project aims to be a welcoming place that blends harmoniously with the landscape of Concordia and its traditional buildings. Therefore, exposed concrete is used as a neutral material that attempts to isolate and create an enclosure. This enclosure is then punctuated with openings on the north facade to create a large entrance atrium, enhancing visual openness and providing a welcoming reception. Natural elements are incorporated to contrast with traditional coverings, adding new spatial qualities to the surroundings.

Project description

The main concept of the house was to establish a connection with nature, so internal courtyards were chosen to connect with the outdoors, along with a central void that provides illumination and comfort to the residence.

Technical information

Materials from the local area, such as brick, concrete, metal, and wood, were used to create warm and inviting spaces for the residence. The use of brick and concrete provides a sturdy and timeless foundation, while the incorporation of metal adds modernity and durability. Wood elements are strategically integrated to bring warmth and a natural touch to the interior, fostering a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. This combination of materials not only ensures the structural integrity of the building but also enhances the aesthetic appeal and overall livability of the home.
