Project idea

Hlavním cílem projektu bylo vytvořit důstojné reprezentativní a kancelářské zázemí pro ambasádu české republiky v etiopii s důrazem na historické konstrukční způsoby naší architektonické historie. Což se nejvíce projevuje na uspořádání objektů okolo srdce návrhu a to reprezentativního dvora lemovaným krytým arkádových ochozem. Snažili jsme se nalézt vymezení a definici každého kousku řešeného území a jejich propojení mezi sebou. Ve vertikalitě fasády jsme nalezli určitou monumentálnost a reprezentativní vzhled při použití trvanlivých materiálů.

The main objective of the design was to create dignified representative and office space for the embassy of the Czech Republic in Ethiopia, with an emphasis on the historical design methods of our architectural history. Which is most evident in the urban arrangement of the object around the heart of the design, a representative courtyard surrounded by a covered arcade gallery. We tried to find out the definition of every piece of the solved area and their connection with each other. In a vertical facade we have found monumentality a representative appearance when we used durable material as concrete that looks as stone.

Project description

Řešené území nového zastupitelského úřadu České Republiky v Etiopii je dělené na 3 části. Jižní cíp přetnutý komunikací navázanou na uliční síť města, je využíván jako plocha izolační zeleně, kvůli kontaktu se sousedními objekty, a plochy parkování pro návštěvníky vně areálu. Západní část areálu neprotíná ulice, nicméně je dělena na chráněnou a nechráněnou část, která sousedí se zády budov sousední školy. V tomto izolačním pásu je umístěno také malý bytový dům pro místní síly vypomáhající na ambasádě. Umístěný zády k ulici, umožňující místním silám využívat svou soukromou zahradu na kterou je objekt orientován.

Hlavní reprezentační dvůr jakožto srdce návrhu je umístěno v těžišti uspořádání objektů v chráněném území. Hlavní vjezd na pozemek zastupitelského úřadu je situován z jižní strany parcely, z bezpečnostních důvodů nestojí v ose přilehlé uliční komunikace. Mezi ulicí a zklidněným reprezentačním dvorem je podélně jako bariéra, která je zároveň v parteru prostupná, umístěna samotná budova zastupitelského úřadu. Která je v přízemí otevřená do dvora. S reprezentačním předjezdem.

Rezidence velvyslance ČR, je umístěna naproti přes reprezentační atrium a sama slouží jako rozhraní mezi soukromou zahradou obyvatel ambasády a reprezentačním dvorem. Rezidence má samostatný vjezd a předjezd.

Bytový objekt pro zaměstnance zastupitelského úřadu je umístěn zády k reprezentačnímu dvoru a tím ho uzavírá od zbytku zahrady a zároveň poskytuje kvalitní propojení s rozlehlou privátní zahradou, která na pozemku byla na západní části území.

Budova vízového a konzulárního oddělení je součástí zastupitalského úřadu, který je v modulech mezi vjezdem a soukromou zahradou protažený v přízemí až k hranici území. Tímto nám vzniklo provozně a funkčně dobře nadefinované zonování parcely. Vjezd do garáží je umístěn pod krytým ochozem na východní straně kancelářské budovy.

Přísná modulace celého seskupení objektů se projevuje také na fasádě. Architektura se snaží být u vjezdu na pozemek a hlavního vchodu monumentálně vertikální. Což podporují převýšené pilastry a systém vertikálního lamelování z monolitických prefabrikátů sloužícího jako stínění a kvůli nutnosti umístění oken také jako těžce průhledná vrstva. Významným prvkem architektury je zde krytý ochoz sloužící k ohraničení reprezentačního dvora a zároveň vzhledem k místním klimatickým podmínkám, také jako záruka možnosti přejít suchou nohou mezi budovami.
Díky modulaci ochozového atria nám vzniklo v řešeném území několik pohledových os zakončenými zahradními stavbami, stromy a lavičkami, které dotváření pomyslnou kvalitu urbanistického řešení.

Considered site of new representative embassy of Czech Republic is divided into 3 parts. Southern area is separated by the road established within the street network of the city, is used as green belt that isolate embassy site from the surrounding building also as an outside parking plot for visitors. Western part of the site in not divided by the road. However, its purpose is also to isolate embassy site from the adjacent school by a greenery. There is situated small resident building for local staff.

Main representative courtyard is the heard of our urbanistic design. It is situated in the centre of the protected embassy area. Main access to the site is located at the south boundary. Because of the security reasons he is not situated on the axis of surrounding streets. The purpose of the designed office and representative building is to serve as the interface between representative courtyard and driveway. The building is connected with courtyard.

Ambassador residence is located on the opposite side of courtyard. On the northern part of area. The layout of building also serves as the boundary between private garden and the representative courtyard. The residence has its own access and driveway.

Residential building for the embassy employees is situated onto the west part of private garden. Its back serve as the barrier between courtyard and garden.

Vise and the consulate department building is a part of the office building. Its stretched to the boundary wall. Where it have it own access. This area urbanism design made great defined and zoned areas. With its own purpose. Covered entrance to the basement and underground garage is located on the east site of office building.

Strict modulation of the building complex is also projected on the facades. The architecture is trying to be monumentally vertical which is supported by the thin and high pilaster and the system of the vertical concrete slats. That make shadow and also help cool the building. The significant element of the architecture is gallery around the representative courtyard. Due to Ethiopian climate conditions we want to hide employees and visitors from the adverse weather. Thanks to modulation of the gallery we create several exposed axis that end with garden object, monumental trees or simply the small bench. That create the notional quality of the urbanism solution of this embassy complex.

Technical information

Celý soubor staveb je modulován na konstrukční mřížce 4,05x4,05m. Struktura budovy je tvořena železobetonem a fasádní předstupující dílce jsou z bilého prefabrikovaného železobetonu s videtelnou strukturou kamene, který slouží jako základ místních důležitých staveb. Na odstínění je použito vertikální lamelování z hladkých a tenkých betonových prefabrikátů. Konstrukční rastr je ve vstupních a reprezentačních prostorech korunován litou křížovou klenbou.

The whole set of building is modulated on a 4,05x4,05 construction grid. The structure of the building is made of reinforced concrete. The grid also sticking out on the facade and the exterior part of the grid can be made from prefabricated concrete. It is white with the visible texture of the typical local stone. On the shielding from the sun is used thin vertical lamellation which is made also by the smooth white reinforced concrete. The construction grid is crowned with the typical cross vault in the entrance, common and the representative spaces.
