Project idea

The idea of this project is to create a resort area that is conceptualized in the form of traditional Sasak tribal houses, using environmentally friendly materials, this resort not only emphasizes cultural elements but also elements of greening the earth.

Project description

Kerandangan Boutique Resort with a green architectural approach that adopts local Lombok materials and is inspired by traditional Sasak tribal houses, creating a resort that is in harmony with the local environment and culture. The use of materials such as coconut wood, alang-alang and volcanic stone not only supports sustainability and reduces the carbon footprint, but also strengthens local identity and offers guests an authentic experience.

The building design is inspired by traditional Sasak architecture, such as pointed roofs and woven walls, ensuring the integration of traditional aesthetics with modern function. By using ventilation techniques and natural lighting, the resort manages to create a cool and naturally light space, reducing energy requirements.

The accessories here are made with the concept of typical Lombok woven motifs, with application to buildings as shading screens or barriers to harsh sunlight on buildings, but can be used as air passages that can pass through the cavities of the shading screen.

Overall, Kerandangan Boutique Resort is an example of how local traditions and green architectural principles can work together to create a tourist destination that is sustainable, aesthetic, and respectful of cultural heritage.
