Project idea

The stadium is a place that has to move - the athletes' game, the crowd screaming, the dynamics of the competition. Therefore, to pay tribute to the memory, as well as "animate" the place, the idea was chosen to create space for musicians - a modular stage, which is assembled by a crane, a tribune, in which it was decided to make cells for rehearsals, as well as an open space in the form of seats to watch the show. In my understanding, such a huge and empty space will come alive under the power of sound and will make the faucet build the stage, the musicians rehearse in the cells, and the audience watch the magic of the sheet music.

Project description

The project is a reconstruction of the ice arena. For what reasons it turned out to be abandoned it is difficult to say - there is not even an exact year of construction on the Internet, and from the archive of the city I responded with proud silence. But space has to be animated somehow, so, as I wrote above, it’s a space for musicians. My project is dominated by the modular stage and the crane that assembles it. This construction will always be in motion and will always have a unique look. In the former closed tribune I decided to make the main passage, and from the dismantled section were made a kind of cells for musicians, where the music will be born. Behind it is the grandstand where the audience will be.

Technical information

The construction of the stage is assembled from a cell measuring 2300x2300x1000. The thickness of each face is 150 mm, the material is steel. As they say, if you do something, you do it forever. On the other hand, the design will always change and what kind it will have in 1-5 years no one knows, so let it be as strong as possible. Around the stadium there used to be walls, as well as the front stand was integral. I propose to tear down the walls so that there are materials for the assembly of cells for musicians. What will it yield? A symbolic symbol of the Soviet heritage, as well as saving money to build something new
