Project idea

YELLO Hotel Jemursari has been around for quite some time since 2016, so the owner needs a new look to compete with other hotels in the area.

The owner plans to convert the meeting room on the 1st floor into a co-working space that is expected to become a new added value that can support the growth of other businesses in the hotel (restaurants, meeting rooms, and lodging).

YELLO Hotel Jemursari is a business hotel located in the heart of Surabaya. The hotel stands within the Rungkut Industrial Estate, close to the city's main shopping and commercial centers, making it an ideal choice for business travelers and tourists to stay or hold events in Surabaya.

YELLO Hotel itself is classified as a 3-star hotel owned by Tauzia Management, which carries an urban style - street art - technology theme with the main color of yellow and a touch of dark blue to bring joy and new spirit to its visitors.

The problem statement of this project is:
1. How to maximize the functionality of each room to support user activities and business growth for hotels?
2. What unique features can be offered to differentiate it from other Yello Hotel branches to attract visitors?

Project description

1ST FLOOR
A co-working space designed to support the growth of the hotel business.
In addition to providing basic facilities, this co-working space also focuses on providing facilities that support creative entrepreneurs (designers, content creators, event organizers, etc.) so that they can continue to create and be known to the public.

2ND FLOOR
The hotel lobby and lounge are equipped with various attractive facilities for visitors to relax. In addition, there is a cafe that sells a variety of food and drinks, both light and heavy, to make it easy for hotel guests and co-working space visitors to find the nearest place to eat.

Each room reflects a blend of YELLO Hotel's unique characteristics and the distinctive features of Surabaya, creating a unique experience that will captivate guests.

Technical information

The materials used in this project focus on presenting a futuristic urban-style concept. The materials are clean and shiny, combined with unfinished materials. The play of light also greatly affects the room's appearance, so the yellow and blue colors used do not look cheap.
