Project idea

In the movie Schindler's List, the Jews saved by Schindler show their gratitude to Schindler after the German surrender by forging a ring from the gold tooth of one of the Jews. Inspired by this, this design takes the "circle" in the ring as the main element.

Project description

our design strategy is to choose to keep without alteration, we mainly design the reconstruction of the factory part.
In terms of the overall layout, we have formed a closed loop of the tour flow from the factory to Building 1 and then to the landscape.
As you can see from the floor plan, we first introduce the visitor to the museum foyer and go up to the screening room on the second floor, where the visitor can watch "Schindler's List", and then go down to the first floor and follow the historical gallery, which focuses on the history of the Jews and textile products.
We designed four courtyards, in order to prevent a long flow of people. We have designed four courtyards to prevent the flow from becoming too long and boring, and we have set up an exchange space at the exit for visitors to exchange ideas and take a break.

Technical information

For the main building we chose red bricks, echoing the original materials of the surrounding buildings, and for the interior we chose wood, all locally sourced.
