Project idea

The idea is making a museum to talk about Egypt's amazing nature comes from visiting a lot of breath taking places in Egypt and knowing a lot of rare
species and feeling that it's not appreciated felling the need to share the experience with every one who can't go every where in this amazing land so i toke 7 reserves (Ras mohamed ,Wadi AlRayan, Al Nabaaa reserve,Mountain Albaa, Saluga and Ghazal ,ST.Catherine reserve)

Project description

The concept :inspired by mountain lines and bird wings and movements i tried making a place that connectes the visitors with nature through natural lighting and natural materials like wood and rocks also adding concrete to show the connection with the modern world and how the threat is always near the natural places and how we can add the modern world in the picture without distroying the beuty of nature .
This project consist of 6 main parts the focal area wich talks about all 7 reserves including maquetts about them and laws and restrictions about each second the library area third, the cafe ,fourth ,the aquarium , fifth the planterium , and last the mountain exhibition area

Technical information

The construction of the building is from Treated wood , adding 2 sheets of glass panels with a 16mm air gap to provide more light and connection with the out side world and prevent the rise in temperature and direct sun rays. concrete and rocks
The wood used is tinted a little more so it fade with time making the building itself as if its living and aging
The column structure is exposed as the interior finished material the warmth and texture of the wood is felt in the interior throughout the building .
The geometry is based on a semi inverted dome thats being curved and shaped in a more natural organic way .
