Project idea

Initially, a project was envisioned that would incorporate a dynamic of transition, distributed across five distinct spaces, each representing one of the five senses. However, upon viewing the project as a whole, it became apparent that these spaces did not integrate harmoniously. Therefore, the idea evolved into a circuit concept. This arrangement allows the project to be experienced along a fluid path, creating a cohesive and immersive spatial experience.

Project description

The project features a descending transition dynamic, where the ceiling gradually lowers, highlighting the kitchen as the initial and central space. As the ceiling descends, the transition to more cozy and intimate spaces is emphasized, such as the library area combined with the space where people can enjoy their meals. This is situated in a corridor with a slanted wall that creates a sense of perspective and depth. Positioned next to an outdoor area, the patio offers a tranquil and serene experience during the meal.

Technical information

This project was developed during university classes. The aim was to create degustation center, a project that would integrate into the Mata dos Medos, located in Costa da Caparica. Since construction is not allowed in this area, this was the project I came up with. The construction of the building os made of wood to embrasse the nature.
