Project idea

The house is located at the very top of the hill in
Brno Husovice. The view is to the south, there-
fore the warmest side of the world. My project
was inspired by the mountainous terrain and I
am trying to finish it off. The house should be a
focal point for Brno and its immediate surroun-
dings.

Project description

In the floor plan, the house is
divided into a quiet and social zone. The soci-
al area opens into the atrium. The quiet zone
is divided into individual cells according to the
purpose of the room. The reinforced concrete
structural system consists of six columns and
walls. Despite the unusual shape of the house,
I am convinced that this house could serve its
familly well.

Technical information

The building consists of a masive roof
shell, which is double and functions as a light
guide to the individual rooms and to the atri-
um, where light reflets on the water surface
and plays with shadows on the inner shell. The
overhang of the top coat is intended for shiel-
ding so that the building does not overheat on
summer days.
