Project idea

The building is located in a strategic area within the IKN area, new Capital of Indonesia, surrounded by four Coordinating Ministry areas. To address the context of this location, the MESC is designed as an entertainment and shopping center, prioritizing its main users from the surrounding government office workers with the aim of becoming a meeting point or gathering place. The interior and facilities are designed to meet their dining, entertainment, and meeting needs by providing spacious dining areas, as well as appropriate entertainment and meeting facilities. Additionally, the MESC offers comfortable and inspiring work areas, providing an alternative for government office workers who wish to enhance their productivity through a change of atmosphere.

Project description

Designed as an entertainment and shopping center, MESC prioritizes its primary users—government office workers in the surrounding area with the goal of becoming a central meeting point or gathering place. The building features an environmentally friendly design, incorporating green building principles. The interior and facilities are meticulously crafted to meet their dining, shopping, and entertainment needs, as well as their requirements for meetings, by providing a wide array of spaces and amenities. Additionally, MESC offers comfortable and inspiring work areas, providing an alternative for government office workers seeking to enhance their productivity through a change of scenery.

Technical information

The project integrates a green building concept, focusing on sustainable design principles to reduce environmental impact. Key technical elements include energy-efficient systems like Low-E glass for thermal control and maximizing natural light through skylights and strategically positioned windows. Moreover, the interior extensively utilizes certified wood materials, enhancing sustainability and environmental friendliness. Indoor plants are incorporated to enhance air quality, further promoting a healthier indoor environment.
