Cloud pavilion

Project idea

The shape of the pavilion was inspired by the clouds and the movement of birds, especially crows, through them

Project description

The pavilion is considered an open area that allows visitors to pass through it or roam around it. It contains empty containers in a pattern such that when a light source is added, whether artificial or natural, shadows are formed that dazzle visitors with their shapes.

Technical information

Containers are a scarce commodity, alternative materials were used to construct the pavilion. Lightweight translucent Polycarbonate panels retain the shape of the container, creating horizontal luminous volumes. They are guided by the interconnected lines of light - enabling visitors to explore the mobility of the clouds. The pulsating translucent horizontal vessels evoke curiosity, and guide visitors into the center of the pavilion, while the pulsating rhythm of light and dark represents the pulse of life.
