Project idea

The idea of this project starts from the unification of the faculties of Pristina into a common and innovative campus, which would meet the demands of students from various parts of Kosovo and offer new recreational and educational spaces. The biggest problem of students lies in the scattering of faculties across different centers in Pristina. Not being close to each other forces students to leave the existing campus spaces to reach the facultywhere they study. Our project includes a densification in the construction of new buildings so that all faculties are included in a common campus. The project highlights the National Library of Pristina (designed by Andrea Mutnjakovic) by giving it the deserved attention and the opportunity to be utilized by as many students as possible.

Project description

The project contains many new classrooms that will be used by faculties outside the existing campus. The outdoor theater will be an attraction for students who will have the opportunity to participate in many events from the campus. Many laboratories and workshops will be added where students will elaborate and work on their projects. These laboratories are arranged in a circular form following the example of a communicative space between faculties as they continuously connect the objects with each other. The project also includes indoor amphitheaters as spaces for conferences and presentations, new fields for sports, a square with several cafeteries for students to have all spaces in one place, this campus is like an example of a good city.

Technical information

The project has been worked on to be as minimal in design as possible, we have used concrete as the main material, in many cases such as in classrooms and on the facade concrete is exposed offering a magnificent view, this also distances us from the use of many harmful materials for the environment. The windows of the classrooms are circular so that natural light is as integrated as possible into the building. Above all, the materials used in this project are recycled, by recycling them we protect the environment, in this way we create something beautiful while preserving the eternal beauty of Nature.
