Project idea

In this project, I present my vision of a residential complex in La Goulette that offers an innovative spatial experience, drawing inspiration from the city's rich heritage. Our approach aims to design residential architecture that is beneficial for both residents and visitors, while carefully taking into account the needs of the local community.

We place great importance on harmonizing our design with features deeply rooted in the collective memory of La Goulette, all the while creating seamlessly integrated contemporary architecture that aligns harmoniously with the city's historical housing legacy. This experience stands out through the fusion of cultures and the promotion of camaraderie among residents from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, thus fostering a sense of community.

Project description

This ambitious project skillfully integrates meeting spaces on the ground floor, carefully designed to foster urbanity. These spaces go beyond mere functional aspects, aiming to create dynamic and welcoming places that encourage the community to come together. Installations such as public squares, outdoor cafes, and relaxation areas contribute to enriching the social life of residents and strengthening their bonds.

On the upper floors, innovation continues with the creation of two interior streets. These intelligently planned passageways not only serve as practical means to organize residences but are also designed to promote community living. In addition to facilitating movement, these interior streets are conceived as convergence points where residents can intersect, exchange ideas, and share moments of camaraderie.

The overall goal is to transcend mere architectural functionality and create an environment where neighbors are not just cohabitants but active members of an engaged community. By fostering interactions and encouraging the formation of connections, this project aspires to become a living example of the importance of community living in the design of contemporary housing.

Technical information

The structural challenges of this project lie in the extensive spans of the ground floor slab and the significant cantilevers of the balconies. To address these challenges, the proposed solution involves a hybrid structure integrating reinforced concrete and a steel framework.
