Project idea

The object's conception idea is realized by playing with three cuboids, one of which is placed flat on the ground. The other two are elevated through a series of columns, somewhat mimicking ancient Greek stoas. The empty space formed between the two cuboids creates a free space in the territory, which will serve the surrounding community and visitors for organizing various activities and workshops.

One of the cuboids will serve as office space, while the other two will have entertainment functions, including open and closed cinemas, restaurants, a multi-functional innovation center, gym, etc. The terrace of one of the cuboids will function as a balcony with a 360-degree view towards Tirana.

Project description

The object is located in the southwest of Tirana in the area called "Liqeni i THATE," Sauk. The said facility is in a truly suitable geographical position, in a very beautiful oasis situated between two lakes, Liqeni i Thate and the Artificial Lake of Tirana. It is 5.5 km away from the center of Tirana and 36.5 km from the city of Elbasan. Access to the facility is possible through these two roads, Boulevard Gjergj Fishta, Sami Frasheri Street, and the Tirana-Elbasan highway, using both public and private transportation.

The object is primarily constructed from concrete but also steel, which sometimes takes on the appearance of wood due to the surface dressing. The supporting structure consists of monolithic vertical concrete columns covered with wood imitation alucobond material.

Additionally, as supporting elements, there will be two elevator shaft beams along with the used cube-shaped capitals that are elevated in height. The selected beams will be of the 'TR' shape.

The facade will be clad with ventilated alucobond panels imitating marble, while the glass facade will have double glazing with a modern system to maintain ambient temperature. The glass used will be technological or 'smart glass' with a heat sensor, also referred to as privacy glass or switchable glass; it is electrically switchable glass with adjustable opacity.
