Project idea

The kushite Archaeological Museum's primary design priority is to capture the essence of the kushite kingdom by reflecting its' architectural features within the design narrative to create a profound visual and spatial experience for each museum visitor.

Project description

The museum is located at the heart of the kushite kingdom's civilization in karima, Sudan.
The design concept reflect the culture of the kushite kingdom by utilizing architectural properties unique to the kushite kingdom throughout the narrative of the galleries, circulation paths, and connection of the museum to the Archaeological sites near by.

Technical information

Design solutions was found in the facades of the project. South facades were treated using a double facade technique an smart switchable curtain panels, vertical shutters and small recessed openings. Also, a passive design technique was used to reduce the heat gaining which had a huge positive impact on the design.
