The idea of the project was to show in greenery inside in two ways: creating two green communication axes connecting the neighboring forest
with users and designing a characteristic glass "pocket" with a tree and a retention basin. The building was designed to fit in the surrounding area and the proposed development. In addition, a large green recreation area was created, where patients can take part in artistic classes, an amphitheater and the company of alpacas, whose stable is also located on the premises.
The functions are clearly divided. The therapeutic part has been completely separated from the body of the building. On the ground floor there are basic functions - administration, reception rooms and gastronomy. The sports zone is also located on the ground floor and it is 3 storeys high. On the first floor, separated from the bustling ground floor, there are patient rooms and a small sports area. On the top floor there are also residential rooms with an additional connector. The lack of functions under the connector creates a kind of "window" on the greenery.
A three-story low-rise building (N) with an underground parking lot is designed in the shape of a rectangle with dimensions of 83.4 x 47.9m.
The maximum span of the structural axes in the building is 9m.
The foundations under the building and the parking lot consist of a reinforced concrete foundation slab. The width of the wall at the parking level is 50 cm. The column cross-section is circular. Monolithic beams supporting the floor at the parking level have dimensions of 70x50cm.
On the remaining floors, the width of the load-bearing reinforced concrete walls corresponds to the thickness of the columns, which is 30cm. The width of the partition walls varies between 15 and 20cm.
The overall dimension of the columns under the rooms in the connector is 40cm. This is due to the need to accommodate sanitary installations connected to the above hotel rooms and to insulate the installations.
The building expansion joint is located at axis 5.
The part of the building planned for the therapeutic zone is also separated from the rest of the structure.
On the first floor, there is a glass roof supported by 30cm columns, designed in the form of a cassette with aluminum beams spaced at 120cm intervals.
The roof pitch on the entire building is 2%. The roof above the sports hall is covered with roofing felt, while green roofs are designed for the rest of the building.
The stairs in the building are supported by reinforced concrete brackets.
