Project idea

The center aims to raise awareness towards animals cruelty and to educate people about the endangered animals in Egypt and how to preserve these species from extinction and to create an opportunity to direct the public’s attention to the needs and wants of animals, with the idea that animals’ rights must be acknowledged and pushed to the forefront of our global consciousness. The center's purpose is to serve and educate the public through the center in Culture and arts city in the New Administrative Capital through the collection, preservation and exploration of the history, culture, science and law relating to the relationship between human and non-human animals; by presenting exhibitions, lectures and other activities that are consistent with, and supportive of, the center’s educational goals and purpose.

Project description

The design's Line concept is inspired from fluidity of movement of animals and birds in addition to the fluidity of lines of nature
The center's Area : 3000 m2
Location : Culture and arts city in the New Administrative Capital
The building consists of 2 floors
First Floor : Foyer, Waiting Area and reception Desk
Museum Area which includes - 3 exhibitions - Animals Exhibition - Birds exhibition - Scientists Exhibition
Library , cafe and a Gift shop
Second Floor Includes :
Waiting Area - Class Rooms - Multipurpose Hall - Managing Area

Technical information

The Building is formed from steel structure covered with
Glass reinforced concrete (GRC) -
the glass used is low-E glass ,it is able to stay transparent while keeping interiors cool - Low-E glass have a microscopically thin coating that is transparent and reflects heat. The coating is even thinner than human hair
Materials from nature were used as stones, rattan , plants and mummified plants
