Project idea

ASTRA is an Egyptian Space center, That aims to provide its visitors the full Space experience in an educational and fun way to be the first of its kind in Egypt.

Project description

- Astra Ceter is located at Al Galala City, Suaz, Egypt.
Al Galala City is a planned city in northeast Egypt. It lies on Northern Galala Plateau on the western side of the Gulf of Suez. The city represents one of several ambitious urban development projects of the government.
and due to its geographical characteristics (Clear sky and Dry climate)
it counts as one of the best choices for the First Space Center in Egypt.

- Architectural Zoning:
Ground Floor: Main Entrance, Reception, Waiting Area, Space Exhibition,
Auditorium, Library, Lecture rooms, Restaurant, Kids zone, Activity rooms, Secondary Entrance and Outdoor Movie Theater.
First Floor: Space Exhibition, Space Shops, Stuff rooms and Administration Offices
Roof Top: Stargazing Lounge.

Technical information

- Area of the Building: 5000 meter square
- Exterior Building designed by: Mohamed ElShazly "Mansoura Museum"
- Structure of the Building: The Building is Steel Skelton Structure and The Walls are Frame Structure.
- Materials used: Steel ,GRP (Glass Rainforced Plastic), GRC (Glass Rainforced Concrete), Glass.
- Lighting: Natural day light and LED lights.
