Project idea

Brief project:
Students are required to create a lifestyle center building with a spatial approach, using an abstraction process approach, processing building masses both models and digitally, thinking creatively in processing shapes and concepts that have different characteristics from the concepts of other students and other students. This will be the hallmark of a student's project. This project is a lifestyle center project that utilizes the concept of independent and creatively arranged building structures, with a focus on an interconnected core concept. It begins with a design thinking process manifested in creative illustrations and culminates in the development of a mature concept.

Idea :
In this project, I aim to create and blend an experience by bridging the connection between the exterior and interior of the buildings. The concept revolves around the integration of the outside and inside elements, encompassing entertainment and culinary aspects. The lifestyle center is designed with the purpose of serving as a tourist destination and generating positive energy for the surrounding community. By combining recreational experiences, shopping, and dining within and outside the buildings, a unique experience is crafted.

The concept of the merging area includes various verbs that serve as references for building formation, such as cutting, stacking, and ultimately merging. In this context, "merging" refers to the unification of all elements in the building, resulting in a distinctive structure.

The merging concept is also carried through to the presentation of digital and working drawings, ensuring a cohesive unity. The fundamental concept remains interconnected from the initial stages to the presentation of the project.

Hence, the project is named "Merging Outside and Inside of Culinary."

Project description

This project is located in Antasari, Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, spanning approximately 1.6 hectares of land. The area's bustling and densely populated nature makes it a strategic hub for the construction of a lifestyle center. The land, previously occupied by old buildings, provides a flat terrain that facilitates easy construction. The aim of this lifestyle center is to replace the largest supermarket in the area while embracing the concept of a lifestyle center.

A lifestyle center is a place that caters to the needs of the surrounding community. This particular lifestyle center will focus on recreation and serve as a landmark for the area, as it is strategically located and significant to the local population.

Technical information

The project panel showcases five main posters, while the design process is detailed in a 67-page document. The five main posters encompass the entirety of the universal design process. The 67-page design process covers everything from the initial ideation to the creation of digital images, working drawings, and rendered outcomes of the project. This detailed approach ensures clear and comprehensive content presentation.
