AS PART OF THIS COLLABORATIVE WORK I WAS ASSIGNED BY THE RESEARCH GROUP THE TASK OF DEVELOPING A MORPHOTYPOLOGICAL STUDY, SUNLIGHT, VENTILATION, MEDICAL NEEDS OF THE POPULATION OF EACH OF THE URBAN BLOCKS IN THE MATOTO DISTRICT, TO THEN DEFINE WITH CRITERIA WHICH LOTS WOULD BE CHOSEN TO ERECT IN THEM THE MEDICAL OFFICES, WHICH WOULD BE THE CLOSEST MEDICAL CARE UNITS TO THE LOCAL POPULATION.
AFTER A PREVIOUS STUDY OF THE CONDITIONS OF EACH CHOSEN SITE, IT WAS PROPOSED TO CREATE MODULAR PROPOSALS THAT WOULD ALLOW A QUICK EXECUTION, WITH LOCAL MATERIALS AND THAT WOULD PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO TWO TYPES OF LOTS: CORNER LOT AND MEDIANERO LOT. THEREFORE, BOTH SOLUTIONS WOULD SOLVE ON THE FIRST FLOOR THE MEDICAL OFFICE AND A MULTIPURPOSE ROOM, AND THEN ON THE UPPER FLOOR WOULD BE DEVELOPED THE DOCTOR'S AND NURSE'S HOUSING, THUS PROVIDING A SELF-SUFFICIENT INTEGRAL SOLUTION TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF MEDICAL CARE IN EACH NEIGHBORHOOD.
The concept of the two proposals was based on providing solutions by modules and then being able to adapt them to the different types of lots by means of an articulating element that would be the core of the vertical circulations and the living area. This gave rise to the type I variant (for straight lots) and the type L variant (for broken lots).
Architectural solutions were achieved based on the existing materials in the area that would allow a direct relationship with the local construction techniques, allowing a fast and quality execution, adapted to the local climate.
