Project idea

Establishing a science center in Lefkosa, the capital of Northern Cyprus. The idea is inspired by the river and how water is collected during the day, and then new things are made after collecting the water, as the water appears in other forms with manifestations of life. Information is also collected in the science center in small domes that represent seeds and from Then these seeds merge with the river in forming the idea of ​​recycling, where the exhibitions in the building represent the result of recycling, and everything that is studied in the educational wing of small domes seeds is displayed in exhibitions that are represented differently from the domes

Project description

The Science Centre of Nicosia will be the center for furthering the understanding of science and technology by means of interactive activities, experiments, lectures and workshops.
The Science center exhibits have to be interactive and promote self-determined learning about science and technology. These activities invite to play, to experiment and to think ahead, irrespective of any previous knowledge.
the project placed in residential area suggest a social place for the area to use it and also educational place and suggesting garden that will reduce the heat in the area the main part in the center is the exhibitions
and the social part such as café restaurant exhibitions and the educational part such as classroom and lab rooms .

the main entrance is from the big dome in the center ,The ground floor includes two parts, the educational part, has its own entrance and the social part, and has a large entrance in the form of a half dome with a canopy to define the main entrance to the building. Then there is a small building, the administrative building, which has private car parking, and as for the educational part, it is linked to the social part by a bridge over the river, as it consists of a lab and educational rooms.
