Project idea

The project is conceived as a complex in memory of Baul Shah Abdul Karim. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Baul musicians. He is addressed as "Baul Samrat" in Bengali music. He was awarded the Ekushey Padak Award in 2001 by The Government of Bangladesh for his outstanding contribution to Bengali music.

PHILOSOPHY:
His lyrics reflect the feeling of life, love for people and desire to find the Creator. The project is at Abdul Karim's own house, on the banks of the Kalni River in Dirai Upazila of Sunamganj District, Sylhet. As it is located in the Bhati area of Sunamganj, This area is under water for about 6-7 months of the year and sometimes during the rainy season, the water rises up to 2 feet from the road.

The project starts with the journey of Shah Abdul Karim's life and moves towards purity. which is projected as a metaphor through an axis design. Rivers, boats and the waters of the Bhati region are part of the life of these people, the place has also become popular with tourists over the past few years. As a result, the project can play a role in the socio-economic development of the area in the near future.

Project description

Water in Bhati region is a big challenge for this project. This area is under water for about 6-7 months of the year, the people of the area then use boats to travel and sometimes during the monsoons the water rises up to 2 feet from the road.

That's why high plazas have been designed and made suitable for use.
Because the use of river and boat is more here
Boat jetties are designed, and people are given the opportunity to see the natural beauty of the river.
