“A Sanctuary which can bring other dimension to their life; Art, Culture and Nature, and create a garden pause from the city where people can rest, relax, contemplate and retreat from the city life.”

Project description

A urban design project to facilitate the problems in Uttara.The project was first started with findings all the problem is Uttara especially near water bodies.The problem where discussed elaborately and collaboratively to find solution to make the city for like sanctuary than a concrete jungle.The main theme were introduced such as
1-Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) to provide a sustainable and healthy water cycle. Suds, bio-rentention ponds and other design were included.
2-Multimodel Transport - To ease traffic on the road urban fabric and introduces new city life and ways to location to the residents with water bus station.
3-Blue - Green Eco corridor - A green belt along the Hazrat Shah Jalal Airport to introduce plant and animals sanctuary.
Lake promenade for the residents and the integration of bamboo market in the urban design. Other factor such as Bio gas water treatment plant to help with waste managements and also huge wetland park
