Project idea

A key aspect of the formation of the concept was the interest in the structure of Chekhov's plays. In almost all productions, he uses 4 acts, which pass as a leitmotif from work to work. So the first act implies a tie, the arrival of all the characters. This is an act of rapid action with a lot of incidents and actors. The second act is the disclosure of relationships, the discovery of the essence. The action is slow-motion, built on reflection, the characters' stories about themselves, preparation for the climax. In the third act, the most intense moment occurs, the drama plays out, the climax occurs. Lively action, exciting events. And in the fourth act, everything quiets down, slows down, the results are summed up. Everything returns to the usual routine.
This became the basis for the concept of a creative cluster. The use of four acts as four functional zones. Where each act will dictate the semantic content and atmosphere through the materials used, shapes, color and light of the projected space.
The guests of the cluster will temporarily become actors of Chekhov's productions and everything will be subject to the famous phrase of William Shakespeare - "the whole world is a theater, and the people in it are actors!". The mood of each zone creates the tone of what is happening.
The video shows one of the elements of the project - a cafe-theater. Where people should spend time behind a screen with a backlight, which is directed in such a way that the shadows from people's actions go outside, thus creating a statement about life and everyday life.
