Project idea

FISH SWARMS were used to abstract the main guide lines in planning the spaces. Shades of blue and organic lines were used in the first floor to give the impression of being under the sea while shades of brown and wood were used in the second floor to give us the feeling of being above the sea

Project description

According to the costal area of (AL-Alamin) and it's unique nature which is located on the Mediterranean sea in which the museum was placed.
The museum consists of 2 floors:
FIRST floor consists of -main entrance -reception - lounge -waiting area
-tickets room - gift shop -fish tanks -fossil room -diorama -sitting area.
SECOND floor has the -main café -fish tanks.

Technical information

The main construction of the building is from frame trusses (steel structure)
GFRC (glass reinforced concrete) was used in the Interior structure of the building due to it's flexibility which helped in manufacturing its curved lines.
Led Light was used in the main form of the building.
Floor was made of grey acrylic.
Fish tanks was made out of methacrylate (flexi glass) because it has more resistance and flexibility and can't be easily scratched.
