The thesis developed a design project for a student co-working environment, taking into account the organization of the space around the building, the volume-spatial and functional solution of the building, its functional content, planning solutions, interior and exterior design of the designed object. The project aims to improve the productivity and team qualities of students by creating spaces for individual and team work of Lviv Polytechnic students. After analyzing foreign and domestic experience in creating similar student spaces, taking into account the economic, psychological and political situation of Ukraine and Ukrainians in this difficult time for everyone, a solution to this building is proposed taking into account modern trends in planning comfortable and protected spaces and construction.
The planned site is located at the beginning of Akademika Kolesy street, near the Lviv Polytechnic publishing house. It has an area of approximately 9120 sq.m. Located within the historical area of Lviv.
We are creating the first large student coworking space in Ukraine, which will have everything you need for study, work, entertainment, recreation, and even sports. In the graduation work designed: the general plan of the territory, floor plans, the exterior of the building, which harmonizes with the built environment of the city of Lviv, and the interiors. On the landscape include recreational and rest area on the territory of the co-working space. The building consists of two blocks, in the planning of which everything is provided for comfortable work, study and rest: large lobby, work areas, conference rooms, dining areas, recreation areas, gym, library, model workshops and much more. The complex is designed for 600 people who will be in it at the same time
The structural scheme of the building is a frame, with supporting columns located at a distance of 6 meters between the axes of the columns, and monolithic reinforced concrete floors resting on the columns.
Foundations - brown, brown. Piles of round cross-section, 600 mm in diameter. The depth of the foundation is 3,000 m. The floor height is 4,200 m. The square cross-section columns are 500 mm thick. Interfloor ceilings made of reinforced concrete, have a total thickness of 300 mm. Overlapping of terraces, 400 mm thick, to ensure sufficient resistance to weather conditions. The roof of the building is flat, with a thickness of 400 mm.
