Ciputra Hotel & Work

Project idea

The project studio in semester 4 is designing an urban business hotel for the Ciputra group, located in the city of Surabaya, Indonesia. Surabaya is known as a busy city, traffic jams occur everywhere,and there are many tall buildings. My project, which I titled Ciputra hotel and work, is the answer to various problems that occur both from residents, clients and the environment. This hotel is made so that residents can feel optimal comfort and can feel nature in the middle of an urban area that has a lot of pollution and lots of vehicles

Project description

Because this is an urban business hotel, this hotel provides various supporting facilities for business travelers such as meeting rooms, function rooms, and lounges which can also become workspaces. In order to work productively, hotel interiors are given natural colors that can bring residents closer to nature

Technical information

This building uses a grid organization with column spacing of 8m so that the distance between columns can produce 2 guest rooms measuring 4x6m. The facades of floors 1 & 4 use spider glass walls, while floors 2 & 3 use adjustable aluminum vertical louvers
