Project idea

A portable sustainable pavilion that continues to support the activities of the surrounding community, can attract people's attention to come, and becomes the identity of the local area. With an inspiration from Padma(Hindu), a flower that can grow in water, it can even grow in mud. The lotus can surpass other flowers. It represents the hope for SWK Studio, and it means the histroy of this site won't be a burden for SWK Studio. This pavilion is a symbol of "rebirth", and it is hoped that it will become a turning point for SWK Studio and this brownfield region.



Project description

Contributing in increasing the number of sustainability in this area by adding the selling value of SWK Studio, being a gathering place for local residents, without damaging the surrounding environment. Bamboo is dominating this pavilion because it has a high regeneration rate and it's affordable price.

Technical information

It consist of several modules that's tied together with special bamboo technique. With a simple non dug foundation.
