Project idea

The idea of this project was to create space where small local sport clubs could meet and have meetings or their own space in general. Main inspiration for this project and its shape was bicycle chain because this building is located in park which is surrounded by bike paths and it is quite frequented one.

Project description

This project consists of a small building. The main part of this building is room with a big circular table and small island "kitchen". The second part of this building is outside porch where you can put the table form inside when there is a hot weather or you just want to be outside.

Technical information

The construction of the building is very light made just of wood and polycarbonate because the building is considered to be used only during summer months. The wooden deck is placed on metal piles and thus supports the lightness of the building. The structure itself is made up of load-bearing subtle wooden elements and lined with wooden slats. The inner part is then covered on the inside with polycarbonate panels to prevent wind from blowing in. There are also skylights on the roof, which imitate pins from a bicycle chain.
