Project idea

Making a "craft village" reviving the old structures and ritual spaces and merge them with the designed one.

Project description

The aim and target of the project was making tough to distinguish between existing and designed buildings through revitalizing the local craft, culture, pattern of their structures, space quality. First of all, visiting the site, the existing old structures and temples were identified so that we can revitalize them from hiding themselves around new structures. Rather new structures should be proposed according to the existing old pattern. Secondly, through the whole journey, people may visit some old structures having the exhibition criteria inside them, and which are about to vanished naturally, we proposed some public gathering or spaces around them keeping themselves conserved. Thirdly, in which residence, the owner is still making the craft, we kept that safe and proposed as same around the existing one. Finally, we wanted to create a journey through a "craft village" through watching the old structures, spaces, historical experience.
