Development of a sketch concept of a hotel in Croatia

Project idea

Croatia is one of the most popular countries for recreation among tourists. Amazing nature, long coastline, numerous islands are the things which attract travelers all over the world.
Nowadays infrastructure is actively developing in Croatia. Lots of new hotels, places for camping are being built there for comfort lifestyle and the concept of my hotel is no exception. For my project I’ve chosen modern architecture style. Asymmetry, fluid, smooth lines, forged metal decorative elements - all seem to be graceful and solemn. Many elements of my building are made in this style: metal balcony railings, reminding shapes of fish, algae, waves and a lot of other plants and animals living in the sea, octopus tentacles having a natural shape (as well as interior made in accordance to the exterior of the building)
In my project, I presented an unusual architectural solution, an original design on a maritime theme. The hotel will be a "symbol" of the coast, it will be given the main attention.

Project description

There are 4 floors in my hotel. On the ground floor there is a reception, a cafe, a visitors' recreation area, as well as a central swimming pool, a yoga room and a fitness center. On the second, third and fourth floors there are about 35 or 45 rooms. Also, there will be a spa area and a fitness centre on these floors. There is a branded restaurant on the roof with a platform that opens a scenic view of the surrounding nature.

Technical information

The tentacles of the octopus will perform a supporting function, and therefore there will be piles under them. Piles will be driven very deep, perhaps even to different depths, because the load will be uneven. The possibility of flooding of the first floor should also be taken into account, for this purpose pumps should be located on the floor.
